These barcodes contained the charity’s BN/registration number and the charity’s fiscal year end date. You will continue to receive the Registered Charity Basic Information Sheet (Form TF725) with the package, however, the barcode labels will no longer be on the back of it.

Continue ReadingIt’s time to update your donation tax receipt! Why? The Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) has changed their website address from www.cra-arc.gc.ca to www.canada.ca. The new URL, canada.ca/charities-giving, will need to be included on donation receipts for not-for-profit organizations (NPOs) and charities. Although the old website does redirect to the new one, it is highly advised for NPOs to update their official donation receipts to reflect the new URL. Please update your official donation receipts to have the correct website address. The deadline to make this change is March 31st, 2019. If you have already printed receipts with the old URL, it is okay to still use them as long as they are updated by the deadline.
