What are you surprisingly good at?

Baking, event planning, paddling a canoe, and cod jigging!

What are you most passionate about?

I am personally most passionate when I have successfully built a relationship with my clients and I can offer advice that is well received and trusted. With the recent expansion of our Orangeville office, I have been given an opportunity to build strong relationships with the members of my community. How can I help you achieve your business goals through your own passions? Passion is the driving force of success.

On the flip side, I also value work-life balance with my friends and family. The days I am not active in my community, you will find me playing volleyball, soccer, or baseball. In each of these activities, I have established a wonderful group of friends who genuinely help me enjoy the simple things in life. I am grateful to be working at a firm that shares these same values.

What’s important inside your community? Are you part of any organizations?

What’s important to me is economic development for the future. I believe it is a key ingredient of an overall sustainable community. I am not currently involved in any not-for-profit organizations, but I am actively looking to find the right fit.

What do you feel have been the most important successes in your life?

My largest accomplishment in life thus far is participating in a 130 km canoe race in the Muskokas (The Muskoka River X). This race can last anywhere from 12-24 hours and is the largest single-day paddling race in Ontario. In two separate opportunities, my partner Patrick and I managed to paddle over 89 km in over 15 hours. We experienced rough waters, cooler temperatures, and extreme exhaustion. Although I did not complete the course, I am very proud of myself. My most important successes are the days you feel like you can’t continue, struggling to finish, but always persist. We are all capable of great success; we just need to push ourselves beyond our own comforts to achieve our goals!

If you could be a superhero or have a superpower, what would it be?

The power to control time.

As with most women in business, we all wish we could control time. There are never enough hours in the day to watch our children get old, to spend time at home with our spouses, or enough hours in the day to complete a work project.

“Time is free but it’s priceless. You can’t own it but you can use it. You can’t keep it but you can spend it. Once you have lost it, you can never get it.”
