Orangeville Smashing Nines
The first ever Orangeville Smashing Nines was a great success!
On September 11, over 50 women showed up at Shelburne Golf & Country Club despite the rainy, cold day, to play in a no-score keeping, 9-hole golf tournament to raise funds for Habitat for Humanity Wellington Dufferin Guelph. It was a great day of not only golf, but networking with women in the Dufferin County – some were even from outside the area!
Thank you to RBC, Snapd, Investors Group, and Montgomery Homes for being the hole sponsors. Stay tuned for the next of the Smashing Nines!
NPO Seminar: Let’s Go NPO!
RLB’s 6th Annual NPO Seminar is coming up on Thursday, October 11th. This year’s theme is seizing opportunities, no matter how big or small. Our keynote speaker from last year, Paul Nazareth, is back again for 2018! Joining him are our panelists, Emma Rogers (United Way), Lydia Summerlee (Givesome), and Tanya Darisi (Openly).
Spots are filling up quick so register here today!
Taste of Guelph
The Prohibition Pantry was new to this year’s Taste of Guelph and what a success it was! Corks were sold for $50, and guests were able to win prizes ranging from a VQA wine bottle to a $400 gift package. It was a fun (and sweaty) day, but it was all worth it because from the Prohibition Pantry itself, we were able to raise over $10,000!
Thanks to our amazing community, the 21st Taste of Guelph was an incredible success! St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph is beyond grateful to our sponsors, chefs, vintners, brewers, auction supporters, volunteers, and guests. They make Taste such a wonderful day year after year. We had a record year, raising over $150,000 for St. Joseph’s Health Centre Guelph! Proceeds from this event will purchase vital medical equipment needed to continue providing exceptional care to our patients and residents.
