    By the time you have completed all or your work terms, studies and exams, you will have achieved all the practical hours required to obtain your CA designation.

    As a coop student, you will work as a junior on multiple client engagements. You will receive support and training from the senior staff and managers and will be scheduled on both in-house and client-site jobs.

    RLB Exam Preparation Program

    RLB’s unique exam preparation program is all about making sure that you pass the UFE.

    Our 100% pass rate since 2008 on the CKE, SOA and UFE, shows our success in doing so. We provide a full preparation program for these exams, including internal training for exam writing, practice exams, and we cover the cost for the external preparation courses.

    Our dedicated and experienced UFE coordinators, along with additional team members for exam support, provide all the guidance and tools required to ensure your success and confidence during the exam process.

    RLB is committed to providing the necessary support to writers even during the busy tax season, and offers broad, practical work experience and technical training which perfectly complements the exam writing process. Combining all of these aspects allows you to get through your exams as quickly and easily as possible, so you can focus on your career as a Chartered Accountant.

    Health and wellness is a critical issue for our firm. We understand the pressures of today’s busy lifestyles and we want our employees to be healthy and happy.

    To support these efforts, we formed a Wellness Committee that ensures there are always healthy snacks readily available, bottomless fruit bowls, as well as numerous other wellness activities throughout the year.     At RLB we work hard but we also play hard. We have a lot of different events each year which helps us to relieve some stress but also gives us the opportunity to get to know each other outside of the workplace.

    Family day

    At RLB LLP People Count. This means our clients, our team members but also our families. We have an annual firm family day where staff and their families can get to know each other in a social event. African Lion Safari, group picnics, baseball games, Canada’s Wonderland are some examples of the events we have done in the past.

    Monthly lunch with the bunch

    We all get together for lunch on a monthly basis. This is an important part of taking a break and enjoying great food with great people. Our lunches are themed for added fun including Chinese New Year, Hawaiian, Greek  and in the summer months good old fashioned BBQ’s!

    Tax Party

    As accountants, we work hard all year round, however our busiest time of year is February through April. Our team members work a lot of extra hours to help meet client needs and tight deadlines.  To reward these efforts, we celebrate by throwing a party on April 30th to acknowledge the hard work.

    Other Tax Season Stress Relievers

    Again, recognizing this busy time of year and the extra effort and hours our team members work, we do many fun items throughout the season to help relieve stress. Some examples of these are family bowling night, cooking classes, on site massages and pub nights.

    RLB Baseball Team

    Every year some of our team members get together to play on the RLB softball team and we always have a lot of fun.  We may not win all our games, but we always have a large cheering section encouraging us.
