As a former entrepreneur, Jason knows how overwhelming it can be to run your own business.
He invests his own time (and sometimes racks up frequent flyer miles) learning about his clients’ industries and their unique challenges so he can act as a true partner in helping them with governance and strategic direction.
Much of Jason’s time is spent helping clients determine the value of their assets, whether for purposes of an acquisition or divestiture, financing, a shareholder dispute or matrimonial matters. He also helps clients protect and grow those assets through corporate reorganizations, estate planning and succession planning.
The emotionally fraught process of buying or selling a business is where Jason is able to demonstrate his capacity for boiling a situation down to the facts at hand and negotiating the most advantageous deal for his clients.
When he is not advising his clients, he serves as an objective expert witness in lawsuits regarding damages, breach of contract, shareholder disputes and matrimonial matters. He produces reports that are fair, credible and defendable.
Jason enjoys working with clients who actively seek ways to grow their businesses, and he is often the first call his clients make when they are faced with important business and personal decisions. He takes pride in being accessible and responsive to his clients’ needs.
After all, we are a service industry.
An active golfer and hockey player and all-around sport enthusiast, Jason already is encouraging his young daughter to excel at swimming and skiing.
