From very early on in life, Mark considered himself a numbers person. Coupled with a passion for problem solving, his decision to become an accountant seemed like a natural one.
“Numbers by themselves don’t always provide much value. Investigating the story behind the figures, and helping others understand them in order to make informed decisions is what I enjoy most about my job.”
Prior to joining RLB, Mark spent 4 years working in industry as an accountant. While in industry he worked closely with various assurance and tax professionals from several of the “Big 4” firms. After witnessing the close relationships formed between public accountants and their clients, he knew that he wanted to become a CPA.
“I have always enjoyed helping others’ working at RLB combines my passion for numbers with the opportunity to help clients make sense of their complex financial situations. Strong client relationships are important in any business, but RLB really makes a priority of putting clients’ needs first.”
Mark holds an Honours BA in Economics and Accounting from Wilfrid Laurier University and is currently en route to obtaining his CPA, CA designation. Outside of work; Mark is a huge sports enthusiast, and during the summer months he enjoys attending Blue Jays games whenever he can.
