Aerin Smith

Aerin specializes in training clients to do their own bookkeeping and use their bookkeeping software to its full potential.

She is a certified QuickBooks ProAdvisor and has also completed advanced courses in Simply Accounting. Aerin offers training in both of these programs for every level of experience, from novice to expert.  She helps business owners with no previous bookkeeping experience do their own books, providing ongoing support and assistance.  She also offers program training for advanced users by assisting with payroll, multicurrency, inventory, reconciliation and sales tax issues.  She helps experienced bookkeepers customize their bookkeeping software to ensure it is as efficient as possible.

Aerin says: “I really enjoy working with clients to help determine their unique bookkeeping requirements, identify problems and develop solutions.”

She provides a full range of bookkeeping services to clients, including payroll, preparation of government returns and remittances, and monthly reconciliations and reports. 

Aerin enjoys meeting new clients and learning about different companies.  Working at RLB allows her to assist many different businesses, and every day brings a new opportunity.  She enjoys the challenge of answering clients' bookkeeping questions, and troubleshooting their QuickBooks and Simply Accounting problems.  The most satisfying part of her job is showing clients how to save time and money by making the best use of their bookkeeping software.

Aerin began her bookkeeping career in the music industry, as the Financial Administrator for the Canadian Recording Industry Association and the Audio-Video Licensing Agency.  She and her husband moved to Guelph in 2006.  Outside of the office, Aerin enjoys curling, live theatre, music, and travel.
