Dave starts with a clear understanding of a client’s long-term goals, and he keeps that big picture in mind when recommending a strategy that the client will be comfortable with and can implement. While tax and accounting issues are essential components of that strategy, Dave feels there are many other pieces of the puzzle that should be considered.

One strategic component that Dave regularly revisits with his clients that are growing and developing their business is the organizational and reporting structure. A Certified Management Consultant, Dave has led re-structuring projects for companies of every size, and he understands how to align the structure to the company’s mission and the evolving role of its owner.

Dave is a confidant and passionate advocate for his clients. This is especially true for his owner-managed clients as many of them need a true business partner that they can share their problems and brainstorm for potential solutions.  Dave is usually the first call his clients make when facing a decision about the future of their business. 

Passion for client success is a core value at RLB LLP, and as managing partner, Dave embodies that value. Whether leading the firm or in his client-service work, Dave enjoys the challenge of rallying people toward a common goal: helping staff and clients achieve their potential.

Dave seeks out challenge in his personal life, as well. Always an avid biker and swimmer, he recently started running triathlons. He also enjoys basketball, hockey, and tennis. He loves to travel and experience new cultures with his family every year.
