I love people. My favourite personalities (not necessarily in this order) are farmers who are in touch with the land, mothers who are the builders of families, entrepreneurs who are the backbone of our country and my cocker spaniel who is the best little hunting dog you ever saw.

My greatest joy comes from sharing in the success of others. It could be helping my grandson learn to skate, finding a solution for my client’s problem or introducing my co-worker who has talent to share.  I am now in the twilight of my career.  Over the past many years, I have assisted all sorts of businesses both large and small.  As an accountant, I practice in a holistic way.  I always seek the best blend of price, practicality, performance and profit for my clients.  I always look to the future and the impact of any decision on all aspects of their business.  A healthy future for your people and your organization is always my primary goal.

Historically, my family were business people who included farmers, masons, contractors, an engineer, along with a candy maker and restaurant owner.  I had my first small business when I was eight years old which was followed by a varied business career from that age through to the end of university.  With that background, it was quite natural for me to become a Chartered Accountant and to develop a passion for family-owned businesses.

The first accounting firm I worked with was one of the biggest in the world, and it was too big!  My next accounting firm was one of the smallest in the world, and it was too small!  Now, I am with RLB and it feels just right!!!

I am thrilled to be a part of RLB.  We have all the in-house resources needed to service any business in our region.  Having experienced the big Firm, I understand what a treasure it is to have the skilled RLB professionals at my side. Having experienced the small Firm, I know that the great heart and humanity of the RLB people is even more important.
