Meet with the client to discuss their payroll and HR policies
Find out what concerns or questions the client has about HR or payroll
Go through a checklist of common taxable benefits, discuss what benefits are currently offered and how (or if) they are tracked and reported in payroll
Confirm HR compliance (employment contracts, Health & Safety requirements, employee handbook and policy, AODA, etc.)
Provide a detailed report to the client identifying areas of risk (i.e., taxable benefits not treated correctly, lack of employee policies), areas of opportunity (ways to increase employee engagement, non-taxable benefits that can be provided to employees), and recommendations
Follow up questions on the recommendations in the report.
