Tax Deadline Reminder

It’s RLB’s busiest season, but it’s also our favourite time of the year. Why? We get to meet face-to-face with the people who count the most: our clients! There are only a couple more weeks until your taxes are due. Since the usual “April 30^th tax deadline” falls on a weekend this year, your taxes are now due the next business day: May 1^st. With that being said, it is still important to treat April 30^th as a hard deadline in order for your accountant to file in a timely manner!

If you haven’t already done so, please bring your receipts and other tax-related information to your accountant. The sooner you bring these documents in, the quicker we can process your return. We don’t want you getting caught with late penalties! If you’re running a little behind on filing, read the following article from the CRA for last-minute filing tips.
