Local Nonprofits On The Move!

PIN – The People and Information Network, formerly the Volunteer Centre of Guelph Wellington, and their downtown Cork Street neighbours, The Guelph Community Foundation, have expanded their connection by co-sharing space at the Old Quebec Street Shoppes.

“As neighbours, we have had the opportunity to build our relationship and capacity through sharing of resources and space” says Chris Willard, Executive Director, The Guelph Community Foundation “this positive experience will be further enhanced through shared offices on the main level at Old Quebec Street Shoppes.”

Since 2001, PIN – The People and Information Network has been a key portal to volunteer opportunities in Guelph Wellington. Through supporting nonprofits and charities with recruitment and best practices, PIN is a leader in volunteer engagement.

As PIN grew, its scope of services expanded to include Community Information along with the Nonprofit Leadership pillar of work that includes training, communities of practice and consultative services.

“We look forward to being part of Old Quebec Street Shoppes” says Christine Oldfield, Executive Director, PIN “as sponsor of National Volunteer Week the past two years, they believe in community and connection. We are thrilled with this accessible space.”

As a connector of people and information, this new shared space will be a natural fit for PIN as well as The Guelph Community Foundation. They both support the community and provide critical resources to charities and the non-profit sector.

In operation since 2000, The Guelph Community Foundation is a charitable public foundation whose purpose is to provide leadership in promoting community philanthropy and enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Guelph and surrounding communities. The Foundation pools the charitable gifts of donors into permanent, income-earning endowments. Yearly interest is then granted from the endowment pool which supports a wide range of charitable programs and activities.

For those seeking community information, opportunities to volunteer and build community through philanthropy, PIN – The People and Information Network and The Guelph Community Foundation welcome you to visit us at 55 Wyndham St N, Old Quebec Street Shoppes, Suite 4A on the main level.
