Colleen specializes in accounting and assurance services and manages several of RLB’s assurance clients. She is particularly interested and invested in the not-for-profit and charitable niche. Colleen enjoys the diversity of clients within this sector; she loves that each organization is unique and all have such passion and commitment to their core purpose.
Colleen enjoys public accounting because it exposes her to various people, organizations, and experiences. It also allows her to help. She prides herself on being there for her clients and advising them on their concerns accurately. Colleen has served as a Board member in various roles, including treasurer, chair, and past chair of not-for-profit and charitable organizations. She has also performed controller functions. Colleen understands not-for-profit organizations from many perspectives. As a result, she can bring valuable solutions for the challenges these organizations face.
Colleen plays a leadership role in the assurance committee, quality control and actively develops or leads in-house staff training. She enjoys mentoring the new accounting students so they learn and grow. Colleen is committed to providing quality work not only in all assurance services she provides to her clients but also provides valuable solutions for her clients in her not-for-profit consulting engagements.
Colleen has been in public accounting since 1998, holds a public accounting license, and has been involved in the industry since 1991. Before joining RLB, she worked in the Office of Research at the University of Waterloo. In her personal time, Colleen enjoys travelling, reading, and spending time with her family.
