After earning her Bachelor of Accounting from Brock University and her CPA, CA, Melissa’s professional focus at RLB has been as an advisor to owner managed businesses. Her passion for people, relationships and the community is clear through the connections she makes. She enjoys helping business owners understand their results and grow their business.

When Melissa became an accountant, she initially thought it was only about debits and credits. However, in her years of practice she has learned firsthand that it is so much more. The numbers tell a story of the clients’ business. She says the best part about her role is connecting with clients and hearing these stories. Helping clients translate their passions into success (with positive cash flow and tax efficiency of course) is where her true passion lies.

In 2025 Melissa obtained her Family Enterprise Advisor (FEA) designation through Family Enterprise Canada. This designation helped deepened her understanding of the unique dynamics of entrepreneurial families and equipped her to better support them in navigating family business continuity, legacy planning, and intergenerational transitions. Melissa is excited to bring this FEA mindset, new perspective, and tools to the work that she does with all her business families.

Outside of the office, Melissa loves spending time with family and friends. When she has some downtime, you can find her reaching for a book or planning her next travel adventure. Beaches, blue water, and sunsets bring a smile to her face.
