I am very empathetic of people going through hard times in their lives and helping them overcome those life obstacles.
I enjoy all kinds of athletics, including basketball, hockey, golf, rowing, running, and volleyball. As an avid runner, I’ve completed three marathons and ten half marathons, one of which included the Boston Marathon. I was a soccer coach for 10 years and served as the Co-chair of the Ontario Winter Games and the Finance Chair of the Ontario Summer Games. I’m truly passionate about teams working in camaraderie, whether it’s as a sports team or as a firm at RLB; teamwork is important to me.
Professionally, I’m passionate about going the extra mile for my clients. As soon as I encounter a strategy that could benefit my clients, I take the initiative to share that insight and explore ways it could add value to their business. My style is to get involved and be proactive to help clients resolve issues facing their business or personal finances. I help owners focus on where they should be spending their time to make the business more profitable and successful.
I am involved with a charity called Lakeside Hope House. I’ve been on the board since its inception over 6 years ago. Lakeside Hope House is an organization that provides compassionate assistance and care to those in the Guelph community and abroad through immediate relief, education, life skills, and ongoing support. Hope House offer services and programs that challenge the stigmas surrounding poverty. I truly enjoy serving the hurting, hungry, and homeless – I find it very rewarding.
Raising 4 children that I’m proud of.
Spiderman. Although, when I was a kid I really liked Captain America.
If the question were to be “Who is your hero?” I would easily say my dad. He has the heart of a servant, a strong faith, and a lot of integrity. He was very strong and faced a lot of adversity in his life and kept soldering through. If I could be a superhero, I would be my dad.
