Matthew Venne’s focus has always been on building strong relationships with people. He takes pride in understanding his clients’ needs and acting as an advisor and confidant, being part of their family team, and committing to helping them through various stages of their business.

Now, as the firm’s Managing Partner, Matthew is bringing his passion for people to the firm’s overall focus and strategy. He continues to prioritize exceptional client service, fostering innovation, and deepening the firm’s impact on the communities it serves. He is also committed to maintaining RLB’s legacy as a trusted partner in the region, recognizing the firm’s rich history and longevity.

Beyond his professional expertise, Matthew is deeply involved in his community. He serves on the finance committee at Heidelberg Bible Fellowship and is a proud member of the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #275 in Fergus. He serves on the board of directors for the Royal York Christian Foundation and chairs the Investment Committee for board of the Friends of the HMCS Haida. Additionally, he contributes his financial acumen as a member of the audit committee for MSC Canada.

When he is not helping his clients, Matthew can be found enjoying time with his family. He and his wife Jenn have made Fergus their home and live in town with their 5 children. Matthew is an amateur historian interested in Canadian history and architecture. He also loves the East Coast of Canada but says he will always be a “Northern Ontario” boy at heart!
