Bruce Robinson

What are you surprisingly good at?

I’m good at barbecuing. I’m always firing up the grill in the summer and hosting BBQs for friends and family. Grilling meat is something I’m pretty good at. I guess you can call me the Grill Master!

What are you most passionate about?

I enjoy spending as much time as I can at our farm in Wiarton with family and friends. Having the property in our family since I was 11 has made the farm a big part of my life. I enjoy the winter and like skiing and playing hockey. In the summer I like to golf and play tennis.

What’s important inside your community? Are you part of any organizations?

I’m on the Audit Committee of the Upper Grand School Board. I have been doing this for seven years. I’m also the Treasurer of the Guelph Country Club for the last four years.

What do you feel have been the most important successes in your life?

I’ve built, and continue to build, close relationships, not only with clients, but with my friends and family, too. These relationships are important to me and have gotten me to where I am today.
Watching my family grow has been wonderful. Having two daughters develop into great adults is truly something to be proud of. I’m very happy that they’re doing great things in their lives.

If you could be a superhero or have a superpower, what would it be?

I would want to be Iron Man because he’s very resourceful. I mean, anyone who can create a powerful suit of armour like that out of scrap iron junk has got to be one resourceful genius!
