Eric gets pumped up for work every day by helping serve our clients to the best of his abilities. In addition to that, he enjoys working with junior staff members with questions they have and helping them progress in their own careers. That was what made public accounting an easy choice for him and why he is a perfect fit for RLB. With accountant parents (a CFO and CMA) he was inspired to follow in their footprints. “My mom was actually writing her CPA exams while pregnant with me. So, you could say I was introduced to accounting at a very young age.” Eric jokes.
After earning his Bachelor of Commerce majoring in Accounting from the University of Guelph, he became a fully designated CPA in the fall of 2019.
Outside of the office, Eric keeps active in a multitude of ways. He enjoys playing golf, playing or watching hockey and is a member of the RLB baseball team. From a travel standpoint, he’s been happy to travel the world, including memorable stops such as Dubai, London, Italy, the Caribbean and more. Eric also makes his friends and family a priority. Making sure to take time away from work and unwind with them, whether it is on a patio downtown Guelph or hanging out at a friend’s place.
In our community, Eric is currently the Treasurer on the Chalmers Community Services Centre board of directors. Chalmers is a food pantry in Guelph tackling the food insecurity that our city endures.
