Kimberly Aitken loves seeing her clients and co-workers succeed. After discovering her aptitude and love for accounting, she decided to pursue an accounting designation with guidance from her mentors. She attended the University of Waterloo, obtaining a Bachelor’s degree and a Master of Accounting degree, for which she earned a full scholarship.
Kimberly focuses on working with profit-oriented businesses, mainly in the construction industry, from home builders to general contractors and trades. With much previous experience working within the construction industry, she is passionate about bridging her prior knowledge with her accounting skills to help her clients succeed. Kimberly’s expertise and experience in construction adds value to her clients as she understands industry benchmarks and standards and stays up to date on industry trends.
Seeing her client’s businesses grow and succeed is the ultimate reward. Kimberly truly admires the hard work and dedication her clients put into their business and promises to be there to provide any support they need along the way.
Supporting the growth and development of the upcoming talent at RLB is equally as crucial to Kimberly. “We have an amazing team and focus on building a continuous supply of future leaders. I want to do my part by sharing my experiences and knowledge with younger staff.”
Since 2013, Kimberly has been the Treasurer of the Guelph Chamber of Commerce. She is also a member of several construction associations and writes a few articles a year for the Grand Valley Construction Association (GVCA) Journal.
Outside of work, Kimberly is an avid reader who loves spending time at her family cottage and is a proud mom of two wonderful kids!
