Lindsay originally went to college to pursue a career in hospitality. It was during that program’s required business courses, (which included accounting) that she found her true calling. She excelled in those initial courses and decided to officially make the switch after graduating from Hotel Management. Lindsay completed a Co-op Accounting diploma from Sheridan College, in addition to her HBComm degree from Laurentian before going on to earn her CPA designation.
Now working in public accounting, Lindsay enjoys getting an inside look at a variety of industries. It keeps things interesting, as she’s not doing the same thing day in and day out. Her work consists of assurance (reviews and audits). The majority of the clients she supports are large corporate groups in the construction industry.
Away from the office, Lindsay admits she would like to do more travelling in the future. “I took my first overseas trip with my family to Ireland a year before Covid. We had a blast!” she shares. Places on her travel wish list include Japan, Scotland, New Zealand, Norway, and Sweden. In the meantime, she’s content to visit some places in Canada with British Columbia being at the top of her list.
