Managing RLB’s Fergus location, Matthew Venne is all about the relationships he builds with his clients. He understands his clients’ needs by acting as an advisor and confidant, being part of their family team, and committing to helping them through various stages of their business.  

As a member of the Canadian Association of Farm Advisors (CAFA), Matt focuses much of his work on owner-managed businesses and agricultural clients within his community. Matt is proud to be part of a long line of advisors at RLB who have been able to live out the balance of large firm resources with small-town service and holding to values of what client service means. 

Matt is highly active within the community. He is a member of the Fergus-Elora Rotary Club and the Royal Canadian Legion Branch #275 in Fergus, sits on the board of directors of the Fergus-Elora Rotary Foundation, sits on the Royal York Christian Foundation board, joined the board of directors of the Friends of the HMCS Haida in 2021 and is a member of the audit committee on the board of directors of MSC Canada. Community is as important to him as the clients he serves.

When he is not helping his clients, Matt can be found enjoying time with his family. He and his wife Jenn have made Fergus their home and live in town with their 5 children. Matt is an amateur historian interested in Canadian history and architecture. He also loves the East Coast of Canada but says he will always be a “Northern Ontario” boy at heart!
