Guelph, Ontario– April 22nd, 2024- It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Earl Robinson, the esteemed founding partner of RLB Chartered Professional Accountants. Earl leaves behind a legacy of excellence, integrity, and dedication to people in the accounting profession.

Earl was passionate about sports, playing badminton and tennis competitively and football in high school. After graduating high school, he initially pursued an education in mechanical engineering before shifting his focus to accounting. After obtaining his accounting designation in 1949, he worked in industry for one year before returning to public accounting. In 1951, Earl partnered with Russ Lott and Bill Brohman to form Robinson, Lott and Brohman, known today as RLB Chartered Professional Accounts.

As we mourn the loss of our founding partner, we also take the time to celebrate his life and legacy. His dedication, expertise, and passion for excellence set the tone for the People Count culture we live and breathe today. Earl will be remembered by all who had the privilege of knowing and working with him, and his legacy will live on in the work we do. Earl was an unlimited resource of patience. He made training and investing in his people a priority at the firm and worked diligently to become a trusted advisor to his clients.

Our thoughts are with the Robinson family, including his son and RLB Associate Bruce Robinson, during this difficult time.
