April is Daffodil Month
In April, the team at RLB wear their daffodil pins and raise money towards the Canadian Cancer Society. Did you know about 2 in 5 Canadians will develop cancer in their lifetimes, and 1 in 4 will die of the disease (Canadian Cancer Statistics, 2016). The Canadian Cancer Society is a national, community-based organization of volunteers aiming to eradicate cancer and enhance the quality of life of people living with this disease. Daffodils symbolize hope and joy, and upon donating to the cause, each individual receives a daffodil pin to raise awareness.
