‘Tis the season!

The holidays are a great way to show our love and appreciation towards our community. We know there are people and families around us that may not be fortunate enough to celebrate the holidays with a nice warm meal, or any meal at all. This year, we wanted to help those less fortunate by giving back to our local food banks because at RLB, Community Counts.

Last year, we donated toys to children who may not have received gifts during the holidays. This year, the team at RLB decided to put funds towards a charitable cause involving food. Did you know that $1 towards the food bank provides 3 meals to those in need? As a way to support our community and spread the joy this season, we have made donations to local food banks in the four regions in which we work: GuelphKitchenerFergus, and Orangeville. Building relationships with businesses and organizations is at the heart of who we are. Giving those in need a meal is a great way to make a small difference in many people’s lives.

Although called a ‘food’ bank, many of them accept other types of donations, such as:

  • Diapers
  • Bathroom tissue
  • Personal hygiene products
  • Clothes
  • Pet food

Along with helping the Food Banks in our communities, we also got involved with the Turkey Drive for House of Friendship, where we donated funds to help provide Christmas hampers to families in need throughout Kitchener-Waterloo! Check out this video interview with Jason Gibbons, Partner, and Louise Frost, Marketing Coordinator at RLB, to see why we give back.

We encourage everyone to give back to their community, whether it be making a donation, volunteering, lending a helping hand – let’s make a difference this holiday season!

Happy Holidays!

Wishing you and your loved ones all the best from the team at RLB.
